Entry Requirements
(1) PHD Degree application: Master’s degree with achieving HSK 5 or higher, good health condition.
(2) For those applying for programs instructed in English, HSK grading is not a must.
Requirements on nationality
Requirements of the regulations set in the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met.
(1) Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens, must become foreign citizens before July 30, 2020, and must have lived abroad more than 2 years from July 30, 2020 to July 30, 2024 (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
(2) If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, parent's (with Chinese citizenship) permanent resident in foreign country should be obtained prior to the birth of the applicant. Applicants must have lived abroad more than 2 years from July 30, 2020 to July 30, 2024(more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).

1. Applicants under the age of 18 (by September 1st, 2023) should submit
(1) Letter of Guardian Guarantee and the guardian must be an adult living in Hangzhou.
(2) A notarized copy of the Guardianship Authorization from the applicant’s parents.*2. Certification of no criminal record

Graduating high school students can provide pre-graduation Certificate. After admission, the original graduation certificate or notarized copy should be submitted.*13. 2 letters of recommendation
Written in English from two respectable professors. including professors' contact no, email address and handwritten signature
Tips:
For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit. - How to Apply
