Entry Requirements
(1) 18-25 years old and hold a minimum of high school diploma, in good health.
(2) Requirements of programs taught in Chinese: HSK4 achieve 180 or above; for those fail to meet the entry requirements (HSK4), after passing the written examination and interview from ZJUT, they will receive one year’s conditional admission, students should pass HSK4 during the one year or they will be regarded as quit. Some majors related to Chinese language and culture require HSK5 or above. Applicants whose compulsory courses were taught in Chinese during secondary education (junior and senior high school) can be exempt from submitting HSK certificate.
Requirements on nationality
Requirements of the regulations set in the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met.
(1) Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens, must become foreign citizens before July 30, 2020, and must have lived abroad more than 2 years from July 30, 2020 to July 30, 2024 (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
(2) If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent resident in foreign country should be obtained prior to the birth of the applicant. Applicants must have lived abroad more than 2 years from July 30, 2020 to July 30, 2024(more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
