Teaching Objective

The purpose of this program is to train high-level application-oriented professionals, who can grasp the fundamental theories, knowledge and skills in global economics and international trade; who should be quick in the awareness of the current economic development both at home and abroad; who can comprehend and apply into practice the current accepted standards, rules, regulations and laws in international trade and who can solve practical problems in this field. 

Program Course Structure

This program will be in line with the international main-stream curriculums in the major of international economics and business, and combine the Chinese characteristics as well. The program emphasizes the internationalization, application, and case study.

The students in this program will mainly study the basic theories and fundamental knowledge of economics, international economics and trade, receive the fundamental trainings of economics and management, and master the ability of theoretical analysis and doing the international trade business. All the courses of this program, excerpts a few Chinese-related ones, will be taught in English.

1. General Requirements

(1) Applicants must be 18 to 25 years old (inclusive), in good health, and have graduated from high school.

(2) All applicants must provide a valid CSCA score report. Please refer to the program catalog for the specific test subjects required by each major download here.

2. Language Proficiency Requirements

For English-Taught Programs, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria: 

1) Native English Speaker or English as official language, 2) IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 60, 3) Completion of a high school curriculum where the medium of instruction was English, 4) Other English Language Competence are accepted by our university.

3. Nationality Requirements (In accordance with MOE Document [2020] No.12)

(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport.

(2) Former residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who have emigrated and apply as international students must have obtained their foreign citizenship by April 30, 2022. Additionally, they must provide proof of actual residence abroad for at least two years between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026 (A period of 9 months of actual residence in a year counts as one full year, as evidenced by entry and exit stamps).

(3) Applicants who acquired a foreign nationality at birth, and whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one parent was a Chinese citizen at the time of birth, must meet the following:

The Chinese parent(s) must have obtained permanent residency in a foreign country before the applicant's birth. The applicant must provide proof of actual residence abroad for at least two years between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026 (A period of 9 months of actual residence in a year counts as one full year, as evidenced by entry and exit stamps).

Note: If an applicant's Chinese nationality is confirmed by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Chinese public security authorities during the application, admission, or enrollment process, their application eligibility, admission offer, enrollment qualification, or student status will be revoked.
